Project Overview

Construction Staging

Construction of this Project will be staged

Stage 1:

  • A full road closure is permitted in Stage 1 of construction.
  • Stage 1 will also include a short-term closure of the intersection of Queen Street and Ailsa Craig Main Street to facilitate installation of the new watermain to the south side of Main Street. A temporary lane closure will be permitted for the installation of the watermain from approximately 80m north of Church Street to the Elevated Tank site. Local and emergency access will be maintained throughout the construction period.
  • Residents and businesses can expect regular truck traffic, potential vibration from construction equipment, and may also have short term disruptions to their water service. A minimum of 48 hours advance notice for any planned disruptions to water service will be provided separately to each affected resident or business.
