Garbage and Recycling
The Bluewater Recycling Association
provides weekly 'curbside' garbage and recycling collection to all
of North Middlesex, on a user-pay basis, every Wednesday.
Tags are required on all garbage and are available at the locations
listed below. YOU MAY PURCHASE TAGS
AT ANY OF THE LOCATIONS LISTED REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU RESIDE IN
NORTH MIDDLESEX.
GARBAGE "BAG TAGS'
Garbage "Bag Tags" for North Middlesex are currently available at the following
locations:
- Bender's Foodland (Parkhill)
- McIntyre Pharmacy (Parkhill)
- Pines Mini Mart (Parkhill)
- Parkhill Variety & Video (Parkhill)
- Can Fuels (Ailsa Craig)
- J & D Variety (Ailsa
Craig)
- Hemming Farm Equipment (Nairn)
- Hick's General Store (Corbett)
- Middlesex Concrete Forming (Townsend Line)
Tags are also available at the following municipal locations,
at a cost of
$ 2.00 each OR $1.90
each if you purchase 100 or more tags at one time:

- North Middlesex Satellite Office (Ailsa Craig)
Landfills
Parkhill
The Parkhill Landfill is open to all residents of the Municipality on a pay-use system.
Hours of operation for the Parkhill Landfill, in addition to
information about rates, acceptable materials and unacceptable
materials, are as follow:
McGillivray
The McGillivray Landfill will remain CLOSED until further notice.
Household Special Waste Disposal
NOTICE
TO MIDDLESEX COUNTY RESIDENTS - HOUSEHOLD SPECIAL WASTE DISPOSAL
If
you are a resident of Middlesex County, you can now use the City
of London Household Special Waste (HSW) drop-off depot at 3502
Manning Drive. The
best way to get to the depot is to proceed on Wellington Road
south of Highway 401 and turn right onto Manning Drive.
The depot is at the landfill site on the north side of
Manning Drive.
Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Residents
of Strathroy-Caradoc, Southwest Middlesex, Adelaide-Metcalfe,
North Middlesex, and Newbury are asked to use the depot on the
first two Saturdays of each month and residents of Thames Centre,
Middlesex Centre, and Lucan-Biddulph are asked to use the depot on
the last two Saturdays of each month.
Items
that can be taken to the site are paints, oils, thinners,
pesticides, small batteries, drain cleaners, poisons, cleaning
fluid, thermometers, and medications.
Please label each item.
You will be asked for your address so we can track where
the site users are from.
Each
County vehicle entering the site is permitted to bring up to a
maximum of 30 litres of HSW materials.
This facility is not intended for commercial or farm
hazardous wastes.
Do
not bring empty containers to the HSW depot. If they are made of
recyclable material please put them in your blue box.
If they are not recyclable, please dispose of empty
containers with your
garbage.
